Organizing Committee
The 19th TICCIH World Congress was convened by a joint academic-heritage-industry committee led by Luleå University of Technology (LTU), working with TICCIH Sweden and Norway, the Swedish National Heritage Board (Riksantikvarieämbetet), Kiruna Municipality, LKAB, and Jernkontoret.
Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee, drawn from LTU and its international partner universities, curated the six-day programme, refereed more than 400 submitted abstracts, and coordinated the session chairs. The committee represented scholarly traditions in industrial archaeology, heritage studies, Sámi studies, engineering history, and the history of technology.
Academic lead
Luleå University of Technology — Division of History and Heritage Studies, and the Arctic Research Centre. LTU's leadership reflects the university's long-standing research programmes on the industrial history of the Nordic Arctic and on sustainable transitions in resource-intensive regions.
National partners
- TICCIH Sweden — the Swedish national chapter of TICCIH.
- TICCIH Norway — co-organiser for the Nordic excursions, including Røros and Stavanger.
- Swedish National Heritage Board (Riksantikvarieämbetet) — Sweden's central authority on cultural heritage.

International Scientific Committee
The international committee included senior TICCIH board members and invited scholars from institutions in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Australia, and India, reflecting the global reach of the 2025 programme.
